Marquette, MI bishop speaks out on Notre Dame scandal and makes it 26!

While the NotreDameScandal.com list of signatures is less than 600 away from breaking 250,000 the list of bishops speaking out is up to 26 with the addition of Bishop Alexander Sample of Marquette (list current as of April 7, 2009 at 4:40pm.)

Please add to the combox any others that may be missing.

Please note that auxiliary bishops signing on with their archbishops are listed in a separate line, preceded with the word, "and"

Contact your local bishop if he has not issued a statement yet and charitably request that he join the list. Many dioceses have emails or contact forms you can use. We also need to be careful to not fall into rash judgment about any bishops who do not make explicit statements. Contact the diocese, be nice, and give bishops the benefit of the doubt if they do not offer anything. It doesn't mean they don't agree with the other bishops, or don't want to make a statement but may really be squeezed for time.
